Bros Plan To Reunite For New Tour

Eighties boy band Bros could be on the verge of reuniting for a special tour, it's been revealed.



Singer Matt Goss said that the group's other members – his brother, Luke, and Craig Logan – were “all up for it”.



During their career Bros had eleven hit singles and three top-20 albums in the United Kingdom but began to disband when Logan left the group in 1989. The Goss brothers then went their separate ways three years later.



Goss fuelled fresh speculation about the band's future, however, at the premiere of his brother's latest movie.



"If we can make the numbers work and the venues work, then we're all up for it,” Goss said.



The singer added that he was confident that the group would still have the support of their fanbase – the Brosettes.



"They're still pretty insane. They weren't too cool for the room - they knew how to have a good time. That's the way I feel," he said.

Led Zeppelin's Page, Jones join Foos in London

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones turned a high-profile Foo Fighters show into a once-in-a-lifetime event Saturday night (June 7) at London's Wembley Stadium, joining the Foos for covers of Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" and "Ramble On."


Drummer Taylor Hawkins took the microphone for the former, and frontman Dave Grohl sang the latter. Grohl, a lifelong Zeppelin fanatic who was on hand for the group's December 2007 one-off reunion in London, told the crowd that Saturday's experience constituted "the greatest day of my entire life."


The Foos' summer European tour continues Wednesday in Bergen, Norway, and wraps June 22 at Germany's Southside Festival. A North American run begins July 9 at Seattle's Key Arena.

Belinda Carlisle chased a solo career afterward going away the Go-Go's in 1984. As her solo life history progressed, Carlisle removed whatever of the rough edges odd in her stylus, transforming from a new wave rocker to a polished grownup contemporaneous pour down singer. Carlisle released a unexampled solo album, Voila, in 2007.

48 hours of movie madness (+video)

A Wellington film crew are tackling this year's 48-hour film challenge from Matiu/Somes Island in the hope its lack of mod cons will inspire them to glory.

When the sixth instalment of the 48Hours competition kicks off tonight around New Zealand nearly 10,000 cast and crew, in 600 teams, will head into a weekend without sleep while they write, shoot and edit their films.

When the stopwatch starts at 7pm the teams find out the genre for their film and a few random elements they must include.

A 15-member group calling themselves the Goat Embryo Project, mostly made up of Matiu/Somes Island Conservation Department and iwi volunteers, have chosen the island, in the middle of Wellington Harbour, for the shoot.

Producer Terese Mcleod, who has competed for the past four years, said the location, with only a generator for power, would force them to "keep it simple" – a key to success.

"We will have to make it work no matter what. The island has unbeatable panoramic views of Wellington and amazing spooky buildings."

Director Alice Te Punga-Somerville said: "If we had to do a pastoral splatter movie then we're good to go."

Whatever the genre, her three-year-old nephew Matiu Somerville would star.

The last ferry back to Queens Wharf on Sunday is at 4.25pm, but one of the crew will use a pedal-powered kayak to get the film back by 7pm to be eligible for the $60,000 in equipment given to the winner.

Organiser Ant Timpson was looking forward to seeing what the group came up with. "If they pull it off it will be a miracle."

Peter Jackson has agreed to be a wildcard judge for the fourth year running.

Springsteen collaborates on anti-war film

Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Bone Ram have contributed songs to the soundtrack of a newly anti-war infotainment.
Billboard reports that 'Body of War: Songs That Inspired an Republic of Iraq War Veteran' will be released on 18 Marching music on Sire Records.
Entirely proceeds from the album testament go to Irak Veterans Against the War.
The infotainment 'Body of War' tells the write up of Tomas Brigham Young, a US Ground forces soldier paralysed in Irak.
The film will open on 13 March in Capital of Texas, Lone-Star State before initiative crossways the US in subsequent months. European button dates experience as yet to be revealed.
Talk show ex-serviceman Phil Donahue co-directed the film with Ellen Spiro.
